Colombia, Paraguay Draw in Copa America Opener
Copa America 2021 kicked off last night with an entertaining draw between Colombia and Paraguay in Group A.
Both teams had their chances to win the game, but neither could find a breakthrough and had to settle for a point apiece.
Colombia started the game brightly and came close to taking the lead in the early stages. Juan Cuadrado had a great chance to score, but his shot was saved well by Paraguay goalkeeper Antony Silva.
Both teams continued to create chances throughout the game but without finding the back of the net.
Colombia will be the happier of the two teams, as they managed to keep a clean sheet. But Paraguay will also be pleased with their performance and can take heart from the fact that they are well-organized and hard to beat.
The team will next play against Venezuela looking to secure their first win in the competition. the other Group A match is Brazil against Ecuador
