Matthew Judon, recently signed by the New England Patriots, has chosen to wear the number 9. This is a significant number for Judon, as he wore it during his college football days at Grand Valley State University.
When the NFL changed its uniform rules in 2021 to allow defensive linemen to wear single-digit numbers, Judon immediately chose #9. He explained, "I wanted a number that was unique and that I could own."
