Manchester City forward Phil Foden has temporarily left England's Euro 2024 training camp to return to the UK for personal reasons. The Football Association (FA) confirmed the news on Tuesday, stating that Foden would be assessed after returning to the camp.

Meanwhile, England secured a spot in the knockout stages of Euro 2024 after finishing top of Group A. Gareth Southgate's side defeated the Czech Republic 2-1 in their final group match to secure their place in the next round.

England will now face whoever finishes second in Group B in the round of 16. The Three Lions are aiming for their first European Championship title since 1966.
